City Wide, the nation’s premier management company in the building maintenance industry, announced the opening of a new office serving commercial properties throughout Metropolitan New Jersey.

Local building owners and property management companies throughout Essex, Morris, and Union counties now have access to a single-source solution for all of their building maintenance needs. Madison resident Arturo Araya owns and operates the new office, which is now open for business and is located at 14 Ridgedale Ave., Suite 263 in Cedar Knolls.

“Business owners and facility managers in Metropolitan New Jersey have an increasing need for high quality property management companies, and we’re thrilled to be able to fill that need,” said Araya. “We’re humbled by the opportunity to develop and grow our own City Wide office, provide our community with specialized services, and work with independent contractors to achieve their goals.”

City Wide has made a name for itself in major U.S. cities by streamlining commercial facilities and maintenance management by providing more than 20 services through a collection of independent contractors and vendor partners, including janitorial services, janitorial supplies, floor care, window washing, parking lot maintenance, and several others.

“We are the point of contact for more than 20 building maintenance services,” added Araya. “By managing vendors, fielding services calls, and negotiating contractor rates, our team is able to help business owners spend less time on facility upkeep and more time on their top priorities.”

Prior to opening City Wide of Metropolitan New Jersey, Araya is a civil engineer with more than 20 years in the chemical and healthcare fields. A service mindset and knowledge about how buildings work allow Araya to support clients with their building management needs. Araya looks forward to helping commercial property owners and managers in Morris, Essex and Union counties have clean, safe and productive work environments.

Beyond the loyalty it builds with clients, City Wide plays an important role within the local economies it serves by putting business back into the community. Smaller, independent, and locally owned maintenance companies pair up with City Wide, benefitting from the professional demeanor City Wide brings to the table with its clients.

I feel very blessed to be part of this business. The thing that is amazing about this franchise model and system that I don’t think any of us foresaw was the scaleability. The scaleability makes all the difference. This is everything I liked about corporate America without all the micromanagement that I hated. Much like the saying, “dreams come true, not free,” City Wide offered me the opportunity to chase a dream to build a business for my family though hard work and perseverance. The fruits of that hard work have not only created a profitable and growing family legacy business but, more importantly, the platform for us to improve the quality of life of our employees’ families as well as to give back in a meaningful way to our middle Tennessee community. The ceiling is high for those who want to chase their dream.

Jeff and I saw firsthand through my work for City Wide Franchise Corporate how this business can provide real wealth opportunities for us; there is no greater endorsement than a former employee who decides to buy a franchise from the company! With City Wide, we get to make a difference in our community, not just for ourselves and our family, but for our clients and our team. The work is rewarding because we believe in what we are doing for our clients every day.

What appealed to us about City Wide was the opportunity to work together and build a family business. No corporate bosses, no long distance travel, and the freedom to be there for our children when we want. Personal effort is directly rewarded with results and as you grow you get to share that success with an ever-growing team of direct staff, independent contractors, and happy clients.

I fell in love with the Home Office team. I believed in the concept of the model. I loved the team’s professionalism, enthusiasm, integrity, ethics and, most importantly, family values. When we left [Discovery Day] I was scared we would not be selected. We were so excited when we got the call that we had been. It has been the best decision we have ever made for our family.
