City Wide Franchise Named to the Franchise Grade® Top 500 List

City Wide Franchise, the nation’s leading building maintenance management franchise, has earned another national accolade for its growth and achievements during 2015.

FranchiseGrade.com, a leading franchise market research firm, announced that City Wide Franchise has been named to its annual list of top 500 franchise companies. The list, titled “The Franchise Grade Top 500,” ranked hundreds of participating franchise companies by their overall performance for the year.

Through its analysis, FranchiseGrade.com’s ranking places City Wide Franchise in the top 10 percent of all U.S. franchises researched, beating out more than 2,000 franchise concepts. The company was named first in its category and 56th overall.

“We are always looking for ways to better serve our franchise partners. This survey is a great way for us to benchmark and measure our performance from year to year to ensure we are providing our system with the best resources to improve and grow their businesses,” said Jeff Oddo, CEO and president of Lenexa-based City Wide. “I am very pleased with this year’s high scores and look forward to driving up our satisfaction rating even further in the years ahead.”

FranchiseGrade.com collected and evaluated data from 2,387 franchise systems to determine the rankings. Using its Franchise Performance Index, a data analysis tool that grades franchise investment opportunities, concepts were evaluated on number of years franchising, franchisee turnover rates, litigation history, sector growth, executive backgrounds, franchisee satisfaction survey results, lending data, and more.

City Wide has made a name for itself in major U.S. cities by streamlining commercial facilities and maintenance management of more than 20 services through a collection of service providers and alliance partners, including floor care, window washing, janitorial supplies, parking lot maintenance, and several others. Taking the onus off building owners and property management companies that typically have to choose separate companies for each task, City Wide eases the selection and management processes for its clients.

Success Stories

Having had the opportunity to be part of the City Wide Home Office, selling City Wide for eight years, I would share this view: My advice is simple on how you can be a success owning a City Wide Franchise. First, find a great partner with a work ethic you admire. Keep the message simple and be relentless at sales. Find the spot where you are uncomfortable and be there often. Choose to do the work in sales because it is difficult. This is where you will find both a passion for the business model and an addiction.

Much like the saying, “dreams come true, not free,” City Wide offered me the opportunity to chase a dream to build a business for my family though hard work and perseverance. The fruits of that hard work have not only created a profitable and growing family legacy business but, more importantly, the platform for us to improve the quality of life of our employees’ families as well as to give back in a meaningful way to our middle Tennessee community. The ceiling is high for those who want to chase their dream

What appealed to us about City Wide was the opportunity to work together and build a family business. No corporate bosses, no long distance travel, and the freedom to be there for our children when we want. Personal effort is directly rewarded with results and as you grow you get to share that success with an ever-growing team of direct staff, independent contractors, and happy clients.

I fell in love with the Home Office team. I believed in the concept of the model. I loved the team’s professionalism, enthusiasm, integrity, ethics and, most importantly, family values. When we left [Discovery Day] I was scared we would not be selected. We were so excited when we got the call that we had been. It has been the best decision we have ever made for our family.
