just Contact Us. Do I need experience in the commercial cleaning/facility maintenance business?
No. The majority of City Wide franchisees had no relevant experience in the janitorial and building maintenance industry before purchasing their businesses. City Wide provides a comprehensive initial training program over a two-week period at our headquarters. City Wide also provides two weeks of on-site start up assistance at your office location. Lastly, City Wide offers on-going support for as long as you own a City Wide franchise.

What can City Wide do for me that I cannot do for myself?
City Wide has been in business for 45 years. We’ve been there, done that! City Wide will coach you to avoid the common start-up business mistakes that many individual business owners make through trial and error. As a City Wide franchise owner you will benefit from the compression of time. Start-up to success will be shorter if you follow our time-tested methods. You will not have to re-create the wheel. You will use our proprietary bidding software rather than learn how to bid jobs the hard way. You will receive HR policy manuals, operations forms, marketing materials and much more from City wide, allowing you to do what you do best - sell!

How may I obtain a City Wide Franchise?
A franchise may be offered after you have received a Universal Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC) document and have had a face-to-face meeting with City Wide executives. You must complete and return both a Personal Profile form and a Predictive Index Survey. After initial qualification, disclosure documents will be sent for your review. Another meeting will then be scheduled to further the franchise selection process.

What kind of franchise territories are available?
City Wide territories are based on population size and the demographic makeup of the area. In large markets there may be more than one territory. The cost per exclusive territory is $75,000. The minimum market size should be 500,000 people. Call City Wide to inquire about territory availability.

Will I pay a franchise royalty?
Like most franchises, City Wide charges an ongoing monthly royalty as a percent of sales. During the first year of operation the monthly royalty is 3%; second year, 4% and during the third year of operation and beyond, the monthly royalty is 5% of gross sales.

Does City Wide provide advertising and marketing materials?
Yes, City Wide has developed a number of advertising and marketing materials that are available to you at a reduced rate. We provide you with an initial supply to get you started.

How soon can I get started after I purchase the franchise?
The City Wide campus and our "Quick Start" program are designed for a rapid beginning to your new career. You can start your business within 30-90 days after signing a franchise agreement with City Wide.

Does City Wide offer financing?
No. In the event financing is needed by a new franchisee, City Wide can recommend numerous financial institutions which specialize with franchise business start-ups and their unique needs.

How do I choose my office location?
A centralized location within your territory is suggested. City Wide will assist you in selecting a mutually acceptable site.

How long will my franchise agreement last?
The initial term of the franchise agreement is 15 years. Additional 10-year terms are available after that time.

Can I sell my City Wide Franchise?
Yes, once the purchaser has been approved and trained by City Wide.
